Carolyn Galloway

Carolyn T. Galloway, 55, of Lino Lakes, MN, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died on Monday, April 30, 2018, in Regions Hospital, St. Paul, MN.

Carolyn Tara Galloway was born December 31, 1962, the daughter of Henry H. and Betty (Rude) Galloway, Sr., in Fargo, ND. She was raised in Grand Forks, ND, and graduated from Red River High School in 1981. After graduation, she attended the University of North Dakota before graduating from the University of Minnesota-Crookston. She then went to work for the North Dakota Hospital Association.

On May 27, 1987, Carolyn was united in marriage to Michael Monson. They made their home in Moorhead, where they began to raise their two children, Emily and Lindsey. Carolyn worked for the City of Moorhead as the Manager of Information Systems. In 2007, she moved to Lino Lakes where she continued work in computer programming.

Carolyn was a smart and hardworking woman, who was a devoted mother with a quirky sense of humor. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and you would never find her without her nails painted. Sadly, her struggle with alcoholism the last number of years led to her decline and eventual death on April 30, 2018. Carolyn will be forever remembered as the exceptional person that she truly was.

She is survived by her daughters, Emily Monson, West Fargo, ND, and Lindsey Monson, Moorhead; father, Henry H. Galloway, Sr., Lino Lakes; brother, Henry H. Galloway, Jr., Plymouth, MN; sister, Amy Galloway, Grand Forks; two nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty.

A Gathering of Friends for Carolyn will be one hour prior to her Memorial Service.

Her Memorial Service will be Tuesday, May 8, 2018, at 2:00 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
