Aaron J. Lovold, age 89, of Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, in Innovis Health, Fargo, ND.
Aaron Joseph Lovold, the son of Jens and Annie Lovold, was born at Dale, MN, on August 14, 1918. He grew up in the Dale-Hitterdal-Lake Park, MN, area, where he also received his education.
On June 24, 1943, Aaron was united in marriage to Irene Sandeen, at Lake Park. They lived in Detroit Lakes, MN, where Aaron was a route salesman for Nash Finch. They later lived in Thief River Falls, MN, and then returned to Detroit Lakes.
In 1962, they moved to Moorhead and Aaron transferred to the Nash Finch warehouse in Fargo. He worked for Nash Finch for 38 years and retired in 1982. Aaron enjoyed traveling, dancing, playing cards, snowmobiling and supporting the Minnesota Twins.
Aaron is survived by his wife, Irene, Moorhead; a son, Jerry (Lisa) Lovold, Moorhead; two daughters, Sharon (Richard) Hews, Albany, OR, and Deb Tweten, Moorhead; three grandchildren, Jodi (Ted) Shultz, Derek (Arelija) Hewes, and Shelby Tweten; and three great-grandchildren, Ian Shultz, Halle Rendon, and Lukas Hews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and three brothers; and a son-in-law.
Visitation: Tuesday, one hour prior to the funeral.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, January 22, 2008, at 2 PM in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
