Adam Snyder

June 16, 1983 — July 8, 2013

Adam J. Snyder, 30, of Fargo, ND, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at 4:45 am, in Sanford Health in Fargo.

He was hospitalized on June 21 after having a stroke, at which time they found he had a heart infection and his aortic valve was leaking. On July 1, he had heart surgery and was recovering so well all of his doctors expected a full recovery. He went into cardiac arrest early on July 8, and after regaining a pulse, he was rushed to surgery, where his heart stopped again and they could not revive him. Although we don't understand why, God needed him more then we do. We will find out why when we meet him again in heaven.

Adam Joseph Snyder was born June 16, 1983, the son of David and Anne (Berg) Snyder, in Fargo. Adam lived in Jamestown until he was five, and then moved to Grand Forks, ND, for nine months where he attended kindergarten most of the year. The family then moved to Fargo where he attended Washington and Longfellow Elementary Schools, Ben Franklin Jr. High, and graduated from Fargo North High School in 2001.

Adam worked in the food business from the time he was in high school, most recently as a delivery person for Nine Dragons Restaurant for the past five years. He also started working for Doyle Cab Co. last year. We heard many funny stories about clients from both jobs. Even when he wasn't working he loved driving around, and there wasn't a place he didn't know.

Adam loved playing video and computer games. He was a trivia addict and there wasn't a question he didn't know the answer to. Some of his cab fares would want to play "Cash Cab", and they couldn't believe how much he knew. He was always reading everything from politics to medicine and couldn't get enough information. He was planning to attend Minnesota State University Moorhead in the fall to study biology, hoping to work in the medical field.

At 6'8" tall, his sister Carrie, called him her "Gentle Giant." He was a kind soul, who always had time to listen to others. He would help people out by giving them money or buying things. Adam was a guy who would pay for the whole meal and overtip the waitress. He had a big heart with a lot of compassion.

He is survived by his parents, Anne Snyder, Fargo, and David (Nancy) Snyder, Detroit Lakes, MN; sister, Carrie Snyder, Fargo; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and some very close friends.

Adam was preceded in death by his grandparents, James and Leota Snyder, and Alvin and Glo Berg; and uncle, Darrel Snyder.

Visitation: Thursday, 5 PM to 7 PM with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead

Funeral Service: Friday, July 12, 2013, at 11:00 AM, in Pontoppidan Lutheran Church, Fargo.
