Adeline Beatrice Anderson was born November 12, 1923, north of Aneta, ND, to Gerhardt and Rosella (Tangen) Anderson. When she was a young girl, the family moved to Finley, ND, where she graduated from high school.
Adeline graduated from Mayville (ND) State Teachers College and went on to teach all grades in Golden Lake, ND. Adeline was united in marriage to LeRoy Vernon Rusten, October 30, 1948, in Moorhead, MN, where they made their home.

Adeline worked every summer on the family farm even while living in Minneapolis.
LeRoy died February 28, 1988, and Adeline continued to make her home in Moorhead. She entered Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead, in October of 2004, where she died Tuesday, December 5, 2006, at eighty-three years of age.
