Agnes E. Sletten, 91, Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009 in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Agnes Elizabeth Bergee was born March 23, 1917 in Milan, MN to Pastor Theodore and Otina (Aunan) Bergee. She graduated from high school in Colfax, WI and received her RN degree from Fairview School of Nursing in Minneapolis, MN.
On June 8, 1940, Agnes married Pastor Erling Borg-Breen. They served parishes in Fairview,MT, Bristol, SD, Cottonwood, MN, Shelly, MN and Greenbush, MN before retiring in Moorhead, MN in 1976. Agnes worked in area hospitals where they served. Pastor Borg-Breen died October 1977.
Agnes married Pastor Earl Sletten March 19, 1983. They divided their time between One Riverside in Moorhead and Sun City, AZ before moving to Eventide Linden Tree Circle in Moorhead. Pastor Sletten died February 2003.
Surviving are four children and three step-children, Marjorie (Bill) Newman, Roswell, NM, Elizabeth (Charles) Peterson, Wheeling, IL, Edward (Cheryl) Borg-Breen, Reston, VA, Karen (David) Scheels, Vancouver, WA, Paul Sletten, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Joel (Alice) Sletten, Sterling, VA, Ruth (Richard) Clemenson, Hoople, ND; 17 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Service: Sunday, February 15 at 2:30 PM in Bottlofson Chapel, Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Graveside Services: Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, MN at a later date.
