Agnes Hoffart was born December 11, 1921, in Hazen, ND, to Jacob and Margaret (Usselman) Hoffart. She grew up on a farm in Mercer County and attended country school there. As a young woman, Agnes worked as a housekeeper for area farmers.
Agnes moved to Bismarck, ND, and worked as a waitress at the Patterson Hotel where she met her beloved husband, David Graf. They were married on September 5, 1943, in Hazen. They made their home in Bismarck for one year and then moved to Dilworth, MN.
Agnes lovingly raised their three children, James, Gerald and Debra. She also worked for the Americana Nursing Home, Moorhead, MN, for several years as a kitchen aid. She retired in 1980.
David died on May 19, 1996, and Agnes continued to make her home in Dilworth.
Agnes died on Thursday, February 10, 2005, in The Evergreens, Moorhead, at the age of 83.
Agnes was a long-time member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Dilworth. She loved to play cards and was an avid gardener. She particularly loved flowers.

Visitation: Sunday, February 13, 2005, from 5 to 7 PM with a prayer service at 6:30 PM at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral Mass: Monday, February 14, 2005, at 10 AM, St Elizabeth Catholic Church, Dilworth.
Interment: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
