Agnes Gruchalla

Agnes Gruchalla, age 92, Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, in Golden Living Center, Moorhead.


Agnes Mary Eiler, daughter of John and Agnes (Ripp) Eiler, was born November 30, 1917 in Forman, ND. She grew up and received her education in Forman, and Fargo, ND.


On May 25, 1946, Agnes married Max Gruchalla in Moorhead, where they made their home. They were charter members of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead. Agnes worked in the laundry at St. Ansgar's Hospital, Moorhead, for 25 years.


Her husband, Max, died in 1991. Following his death, Agnes continued to live in Moorhead, including Park View Terrace and as a resident of Golden Living Center.


Agnes is survived by her son, Donald, Fargo; and three grandchildren, Carey (Victoria) McWilliams, Lisa Eiler, and Neil Gruchalla. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice McWilliams; her husband, Max, her parents; three brothers; and four sisters.
