Agnes J. Huebner, 97, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo, ND.

Agnes Jeanette Walstad was born June 8, 1914, to Severin and Emelia (Halverson) Walstad in Rockwell Township, Borup, MN.

She married Anthony Huebner on September 17, 1934, in Georgetown, MN, and they worked on the Huebner farm until June of 1942 when they moved to Little Falls, MN. Agnes was a devoted wife and mother and in 1950, they returned to Moorhead where she continued to lovingly raise their three children.

Agnes was considered the mother of the neighborhood and she babysat, cooked, baked and helped out friends and neighbors whenever they needed her. She always had a smile and a pleasant attitude. She was a longtime member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church and was a Christian Mother.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony who died in August of 1986; a daughter, Shirley Ann Jacobson; a son, Thomas Huebner; her brothers, Millard, Clifford, Arnold and Edwin Walstad; and her sisters, Helen McCaffery Dorn, Lottie Odden and Ella Wange.

She is survived by her son, Stephen (Judith) Huebner, Moorhead; a daughter-in-law, Julie Huebner, Fargo; three grandchildren, Jim (Monica Griego) Wald, Princeton, MN, Lisa (Darrin) Nagel, Cedar Rapids, IA, and David Huebner, Fargo; two great-grandchildren
Visitation: Sunday, 3 - 5 PM, with a Prayer Service at 5 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.


Funeral: Monday (3/19) at 11 AM, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead.


Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
