Alair A. Davidson

June 11, 1924 — April 6, 2005

All of Heaven rejoiced as the Lord welcomed His devoted servant, Alair A. Davidson into eternal glory on Wednesday, April 6, 2005. Surrounded by her beloved family in her home in Moorhead, MN, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, she peacefully left this world, the cancer that had taken its physical toll no longer capable of wielding any power over her.

Born on June 11, 1924, Duluth, MN, to Hilda and Andrew Lindgren, Alair Audrey Lindgren grew up and received her education in the Clearbrook-Debs, Minnesota area. She graduated from high school in Bemidji, MN, in 1941, and later attended and graduated from business college in Bemidji.

On September 14, 1952, Alair was united in marriage to her sweetheart for life, PC Davidson, in Debs. Following their marriage, they made their home in Moorhead, where they established FM Ambulance Service. Alair worked alongside PC in their business, and her indispensable presence was keenly instrumental in its ultimate success. In 1989, they retired and sold the ambulance service to local hospitals.

PC died on October 1, 1994. After his death, Alair continued to live in Moorhead. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Dustin Thoring; her parents; and a brother, Eugene Lindgren.

Wonderfully strong in her faith and filled with compassionate conviction to minister to those whose lives she encountered, Alair was active in her church and committed to prayer and supporting missions. From her profound sense of biblical perspective to her delightful sense of humor, Alair's radiant personality was undeniable, and the remarkable way in which she lived for eight decades has left an incredible lasting legacy.

Though her earthly voice has been stilled, her rare and beautiful spirit will continue to be celebrated and cherished in the grateful hearts and loving regard of her family and friends who were so blessed to have her presence grace their lives. Hers was, in the truest sense, a life well lived, and as she entered Paradise this week, Alair most assuredly heard her Savior say, "Well done, good and faithful servant…enter into the joy of your Lord."

Alair was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her four children, Mary Davidson, Moorhead, Karen (Marlin) Thoring, Pinewood, MN, Paul (Lisa) Davidson, Moorhead, and Ann (John) Duchscher, Fargo, ND; six grand
