Duane Langseth, the son of Albert and Jean (Hawley) Langseth, was born in Fargo, ND, on February 4, 1938. He grew up and received his education in the Glyndon, MN, area, where he graduated from high school in 1955. He lived in Glyndon and became a truck driver as a young man.
On December 28, 1985, Duane married Snookie in West Fargo, ND. They lived in Glyndon, and Duane continued as a truck driver. Duane began a second career by attending Minnesota State Community and Technical College in Moorhead, MN. He graduated with honors in 2011.
Duane died on Saturday, September 24, 2011, at his lake home on Lee Lake, rural Hawley, MN, at the age of 73. He was a member of Maranatha Free Lutheran Church, Glyndon, and had for more than 10 years been a scout leader in Glyndon, and continued in a part-time basis
Duane is survived by his wife, Snookie, Glyndon; his mother, Jean Langseth, Glyndon; son, Ray (Laurie) Langseth, Fargo; daughter, Tracy Stueve, Manassas, Virginia; sister, Pam Williams, Fargo; and sister-in-law, Helen (Don) Biesterfeld, Fargo; 3 grandchildren; and 4 nieces and nephews.
