Albert F. Kranda

Albert Frederick Kranda Jr. was born July 9, 1937, in Oakes, ND, to Albert Sr. and Eppie (Weiman) Kranda, and was raised on the family farm outside of Oakes.

He graduated from Oakes High School and then received further education in automotive technology. He made his home in Fargo, ND, where he worked as a mechanic for many years at Wallwork Automotive Company. Albert also worked for Phillips 66 service station in Moorhead, MN.

Albert retired due to health concerns and made his home at Eventide the Fairmont, Moorhead. He moved to Fargo about ten years ago. Albert died Monday, November 17, 2014, at Sanford Health, Fargo, at seventy-seven years of age.

Albert is survived by his children, Todd (Colleen), Mandan, ND, Brad (Darcy), West Fargo, ND, Lisa Kranda-Melvin, New Braunfels, TX, and Brent (Heather), Chester, VA; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother, Tony (Caroline), New Jersey. He was preceded in death by an infant son, LaDell.

Visitation will begin at 6 PM, followed by a funeral at 7 PM, Friday, November 21, 2014, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
