Alice Louise Loock, 71, died peacefully in her home on Turtle Lake on March 28, 2005.
Alice was born July 22, 1933, to Andrew and Wilhelmina (Luepker) Iverson in rural Detroit Lakes, MN, and she attended school in Moorhead, MN.
Alice married Vernon Loock October 19, 1952. Alice and Vernon farmed in rural Hawley, MN, from 1959 through 1966, when they moved to Moorhead. Vernon worked for the Minnesota Highway Dept. until he left due to an injury.
In April of 1981, Vernon and their son, Dennis, established the family business, The Muffler Man, Moorhead.
Alice worked for various local businesses until Vernon's heart attack in 1986. She then began working at The Muffler Man. Alice answered the phone, visited with customers, and did the bookwork while working alongside her son and grandsons. Vernon died June 16, 1987.
Known as "The Muffler Lady", Alice will be missed by many.

Visitation: Friday from 5 PM - 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral Service: Saturday, April 2, 2005, at 5 PM at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Interment: Elmwood Cemetery, Sabin, MN
