Allan Ingberg

Allan Clifford Jerome Ingberg was born March 3, 1926, in Hendrum Township, near Hendrum, MN, to Clarence and Tomina (Ostreng) Ingberg. Allan was raised on the farm near Hendrum and graduated from Hendrum High School.
Allan was united in marriage to Arlene Peterson on October 1, 1950, at Concordia Lutheran Church of rural Hendrum. They lived and farmed near Hendrum. Arlene died November 9, 2004, and Allan continued to make his home on the farm.
Allan entered Bridges Care Community, in Ada, MN, in March of this year. He died Thursday, July 1, 2010, in Bridges Care Community, at eighty-four years of age.

Allan served many years on the Hendrum Township Board. He taught Sunday school at Landstad Lutheran Church as well as Concordia Lutheran Church. He was the treasurer at Landstad Lutheran and sang in a men's quartet. He also sang in the choir at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hendrum.

Allan was a talented woodworker and made many clocks over the years. He also carved canes and made spinning wheels. Allan enjoyed reading, working word puzzles, and watching western movies.
Allan is survived by a son, Mark, Perley, MN; a daughter, Cheryl, Fargo, ND; one granddaughter, Ashlynn Ingberg, Fargo; and two sisters, Carol Stordahl, Winger, MN, and Ardis Zantek, Roseville, MN.
Visitation for Allan will be Monday, July 5, 2010, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
His funeral will be Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at 2 PM, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Hendrum.
Burial will be in Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, rural Hendrum.
