Alvilda Dahlum

Alvilda Jeanette Dahlum was born July 1, 1916, on a farm near Alvarado, MN, to Martin and Clara (Nelson) Dahlum. She was raised in the Alvarado area until the family moved to East Grand Forks, MN.
Alvilda worked in sales in East Grand Forks, and later for Colborn School Supply in Grand Forks, ND. Upon retirement, she continued to reside in Grand Forks. Alvilda moved to Fargo, ND, in 1998. She moved into the Pioneer House Assisted Living, Fargo, in September of this year. She died Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at her home, at ninety-five years of age.
Alvilda is survived by her sister-in-law, Ina Dahlum, Moorhead, MN; three nieces, Laurel (Joe) Harrison, Memphis, TN, Eileen (Mark) Johnson, and Tammy (Mark) Krause, both of Fargo; and a number of great nephews, great nieces, and cousins
In addition to her parents, Alvilda was preceded in death by two brothers, LeVerne "Vern" Dahlum, and Glen Dahlum; a sister, Mildred Ellingson; a nephew, Marc Dahlum; and a niece, LaVonne Avery.
Visitation for Alvilda will be Saturday, December 3, 2011, from 1 PM to 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Her funeral will be Saturday at 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel.
Burial will be Monday, December 5, 2011, at 12 noon, in Oaklawn Cemetery, Alvarado.
