Amber Mynatt

Amber M. Mynatt, 27, of Grand Forks, ND, died on Sunday, September 10, 2017, in Altru Hospital, Grand Forks.

Amber Marie Mynatt was born December 14, 1989, the daughter of Bennie and Rene (Barnes) Mynatt, in Fargo, ND. As a young special-needs child, she moved to the Anne Carlson School in Jamestown, where she lived and received her education. During her years at Anne Carlson she was confirmed at St. James Basilica in Jamestown and had a chance to attend the prom. When Amber was eighteen she moved to Grand Forks and resided in a group home. In 2010, she graduated from Red River High School in Grand Forks.

She loved swimming, bright lights, music and her yearly trips to the circus. She also enjoyed time spent with her family. Amber truly touched the lives of those who knew her and she will be dearly missed.

Amber is survived by her parents, Rene (Reed) Oien, Finley, ND, and Bennie Mynatt, St. Louis, MO; siblings, Jeff Mynatt, Daytona, FL, Rachel Mynatt, Fargo, and Thomas Mynatt, Finley; grandparents, Mary Barnes, Fargo, and Inez (Obie) Knutson, Gulfport, MS; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Richard Barnes and Parnell Mynatt; uncle, Tim Barnes, and cousin, Faith Barnes.

Amber's family would like to thank all of her caregivers over the years that cared for her with dignity and love.

A Visitation for Amber will be Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Her Memorial Mass will be Friday, September 22, 2017, at 1:00 PM, in St. Leo's Catholic Church, Casselton, ND.

Interment will be St. Leo's Catholic Cemetery, Casselton.
