Amitola C. LaCroix

Amitola Courdilaine LaCroix was born August 29, 2004, to Michael LaCroix and Michelle Werner, in Fargo, ND. She was attending Ellen Hopkins Elementary School in Moorhead where she would have been a second grader this year.

Amitola was a sweet and sassy little girl who loved to swim, have tea parties, do arts and crafts and have her nails done with her mom. This past March, Amitola was able to go on a Make a Wish trip to Disney World in Florida.

Amitola died unexpectedly at home in her mother's arms, on Friday, August 19, 2011. She was met in heaven by her uncle, Ryan Werner.

Amitola will be deeply missed by her parents, Michelle Werner and Michael LaCroix; her big brother, Jakob Werner; grandparents, Pamela (Daniel) Bauer and Agnes Josephine Haagenstad; aunt and Godmother, Aimee Werner (Jeremy Gallagher; Godmother, Jolene Thiel;aunts and uncles, Naomi Werner (Jeremy Frohlich), Luke Smith (Melissa Engesetter), Christina Smith, Leonard "Moose" Smith, Harriette LaCroix, Cyprian LaCroix, Sorrell LaCroix, and Sierra Haagenstad; special friends, Cassandra Carlson, Marlene Haines, and Julie McDonald; and many cousins and beloved family and friends.
