Andrew J. Kraft, Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, November 19, 2006, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND, at the age of 74.
Andrew John Kraft, son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Reis) Kraft, was born May 4, 1932, in Glenncross, SD, where he grew up and received his early education. Andy served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1954. He was united in marriage to Deloras Gill in Timber Lake, SD, on November 20, 1954. The couple made their home in Moorhead. Andy attended Hanson Trade School, Fargo, and in 1955 started work at United Electric, Fargo, as a mechanic. He retired in 1995, but continued doing mechanic work out of his garage at home.
Andy loved the Lord with his whole heart. His love for the Lord showed through in everything he did. He loved and enjoyed being with his family, always putting them and his grandchildren first. His unselfish generosity will be remembered by so many.
Andy is survived by his wife, Deloras, Moorhead; one daughter, Becky (Kevin) Camas, Embden, ND; four sons, Mark (Cheryl) Fargo, Craig (Ardis), Olathe, KS, Trent (Kathy) Moorhead, and Troy (Colleen), Argusville, ND; 14 grandchildren and one great - grandson; six brothers, Eddy (Mary), Timber Lake, Eugene (Marcella), Rapid City, SD, Herman (Joyce), Timber Lake, Fred, Timber Lake, David (Joy), Hudson, WI, and Jack, Timber Lake; four sisters, Edy (Clifford) Scherer, Milford, MI, Marie Klein, Rapid City, Idora (Marian) Wortman, Landers, WY, and Helen (John) Bracken, Rapid City.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, and four brothers.
VISITATION: Tuesday, November 21, 2006 - 5 PM to 7 PM in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead, MN, with a prayer service at 7 PM.
FUNERAL MASS: Wednesday, November 22, 2006 - 11 AM in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead.
INTERMENT: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
