Anita L. Cruz

Anita L. (Hanson) Cruz, 73, Fargo, ND, lost her battle with numerous health issues and went into the loving arms of God, Friday May 18, 2018, in Essentia Health Fargo.

Anita "Nita" was born June 18, 1944, to Charlie and Eleanora Hanson in Moorhead, MN. Nita married Paschal "Pat" Cruz on May 10, 1964, and they made their home in Fargo with their children. She was a homemaker who loved a good joke, collecting costume jewelry, and spending time with her family.

Around the age of 50, she graduated high school, earned her driver's license, and began working. Nita worked for several years at ARC Thrift Store in North Fargo, where she gained many friends and many treasures.

Anita was an inspiring woman who now watches over son, David (Ella) Cruz, Casselton, ND; daughter, Elaine (Todd) Bogardus, West Fargo, ND; sister, Shirley Pendl, Illinois; grandchildren, Amanda (John) Miller, Fargo, Getty (Jess) Cruz, Fargo, Samantha and Sara Bogardus, West Fargo, Neil Wells, Fargo, and Christopher Alber, Casselton; and great-grandchildren, Jordan, Raelee, Serenity, Louis, Malaki, Harmony, and Holden; and many nieces and nephews.

Anita was greeted in heaven by her parents; four brothers; eight sisters; her husband, Pat; and youngest daughter, Bernie.

A Visitation for Anita will be two hours prior to her service.

A Funeral Service for Anita will be Friday, May 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.

Burial will be in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead, MN.
