Ann O. Anderson

February 1, 1914 — October 1, 2013

Ann Ovydia Kleven was born February 1, 1914, in Towner, ND, to Martin and Hilda (Rue) Kleven. Ann grew up in the hills by Lake Metigoshe, near Bottineau, ND.

She received a teaching degree and first taught in the country schools. She later taught in Rolette, Bottineau and Willow City. She was united in marriage to Arnold Anderson on June 12, 1952, and they made their home in Willow City. They spent the winter months in Mesa, AZ, for twenty-five years, after she retired from forty-two years of teaching.

They are presently members of Grace Lutheran Brethren Church in Bottineau, and have been attending Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church in West Fargo, since they moved to Fargo. Ann was always active in church and served on many committees. She loved to work with children's and women's groups. Ann was the first to volunteer for most anything, and had a hospitable and generous spirit.

She had a servant's heart and it seemed no one left her home without a "meal" and a cup of coffee. She loved to travel, play games, read, and enjoy nature. Most important was her faith in the Lord. She was always the first to offer her testimony of His love, faithfulness and goodness.

Ann died Tuesday, October 1, 2013, in Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo, at ninety-nine years of age.

She is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-one years, Arnold, Fargo; devoted daughter, Patty Linson, Fargo; two grandchildren, Paul (Kristin) Linson, Maple Grove, MN, and Jennifer (Mathew) Finley, West Fargo; and five great-grandchildren, Anabelle and Violet Linson, and Thatcher, Liam and McKenna Finley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arnt and Oscar Kleven; sister, Olga Tonneson; and a son-in-law, Larry Linson.
