Arlene A. Erickson, 75, Moorhead, MN, died Saturday, April 15, 2006, in Innovis Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Arlene Ann Schreiner was born March 16, 1931, to Joseph and Leona L. (Lemm) Schreiner in Hillsboro, ND. She grew up in Felton, MN, where she graduated from high school. After high school, she graduated from business college in Fargo.
On September 2, 1950, Arlene married Harold Erickson in Felton where they made their home. In 1956, they moved to Moorhead and Arlene worked for a local grocery store and as a seamstress at Silverline. Arlene then began working in food service at St. Ansgar, St. John's, and eventually Dakota. She retired in 2004 due to illness. Harold died on October 15, 1990, and Arlene continued to make her home in Moorhead.
Arlene enjoyed shopping, traveling and snowmobiling. She also loved to spend time on Meadow Lake were she spent countless hours fishing for sunfish.
Arlene is survived by two sons, Greg (Kristy), Hawley, MN, and Eric (Mary), Moorhead; four daughters, Pauline (Richard) Berndt, Pelican Rapids, MN, Sandra (Lee) Huyck, LaPorte, TX, Karen (Chris) Kobilan, Highlands Ranch, CO, and Kristi (Dave) Seilinger, Bismarck, ND; a brother, Earl Schreiner, Felton; fourteen grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Gerald and Willis; and a grandson, John.
Visitation: Today from 6 - 8 PM with a prayer service at 7 PM,
Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral Mass: Tuesday, April 18, 2006, at 11 AM,
St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.
Interment: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery,
Moorhead.
