Arlis L. Wagner

Arlis Leone Whaley was born June 9, 1936, in rural Hitterdal, MN, to Theodore "Ted" and Stella (Brenna) Whaley. She attended school in Moorhead, MN, where she graduated from high school in 1954.

Arlis married Victor Wagner on January 9, 1956, and they lived at Fairmont, MN, and Truman, MN, before returning to Moorhead in 1961. She worked for Northwestern Bell and Clay County Court until 1997.

Arlis died Tuesday, February 16, 2016, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, at seventy-nine years of age.

She is survived by her husband, Victor, Moorhead; daughter, Kathy Wagner, East Gull Lake, MN; son, Doug (Wanda) Wagner, Moorhead; four grandchildren, Ryan (Jessica) Bodell, Emily Rardin, Coleman Wagner, and Erica Wagner; and one great-grandson, Taten Rardin.

Arlis was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister.

Arlis was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was a kind-hearted, loving and the peacekeeper of the family. She had a smile that was contagious and every moment spent with her was a memory made. Her true kind heart is an amazing trait not many possess. We can only hope each of us who knew Arlis can take a little of her forgiving and gracious personality with us through life and make the world a better place.

Visitation will be Friday, February 19, 2016, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Her funeral will be Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 10 AM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
