Arlitte Swenson

Arlitte Rae Marie Swenson, 61, Christine, ND, was called to be with the Lord, Friday, January 28, 2005, in her home, under hospice care. She fought a courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer for twenty-eight months.
Arlitte was born March 27, 1943, in New Rockford, ND, to Roy and Beatrice (Dyrud) Rasmussen. Arlitte was raised in rural McHenry, ND, and graduated from Oak Grove Lutheran High School, Fargo, ND, in 1961.
She continued her education and graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing, Fargo, in 1965. Arlitte worked as a registered nurse in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St. Luke's Hospital (now MeritCare Hospital) for thirty-eight years. Due to health issues, Arlitte retired in 2003.
Arlitte married Allan P. Swenson, May 8, 1965, in rural Tolna, ND, and they made their home near Christine, ND.
Arlitte is survived by her husband of forty years, Allan; a daughter, Michelle (Todd) Grieger, Fargo; a son, Matthew (Amanda), St. Cloud, MN; three grandchildren, Ryan Grieger, and Vienna and Chenoa Swenson; two brothers, Rick (Carolyn) Rasmussen, Monticello, MN, and Jim (Jane) Rasmussen, Maple Grove, MN; and twelve nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday, February 1, 2005; 5 - 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Prayer Service: Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at 7 PM Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral: Wednesday, February 2, 2005 - 1 PM in St. Paul's Free Lutheran Church,
