Armand Pagliarini, 89, Moorhead, MN, died Monday, November 20, 2006, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Armand Pagliarini was born December 8, 1916, in Eveleth, MN, to Enrico and Pauline Pagliarini. He graduated from Eveleth High School and Eveleth Junior College. He received his bachelor's degree from St. Cloud (MN) University and his master's degree from the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, ND.
On May 31, 1942, Armand married Enid A. Soliah in Hatton, ND. Armand taught Industrial Arts and coached hockey in Grafton, ND, Warroad, MN, Thief River Falls, MN, and East Grand Forks, MN.
In 1961, he joined the Minnesota State Department of Industrial Arts. In 1971, they moved to Moorhead where he became the Assistant Director of the Moorhead Vo-Tech Institute. Upon his retirement in 1979, Armand and Enid enjoyed years of living at Island Lake and winters in Mesa, AZ. Enid died on October 16, 2006, and Armand continued to make his home in Moorhead.
He is survived by a daughter, Diane Pearson, Pickerington, OH; a grandson, Brian (Laura) Pearson, Abilene, TX; and two great-grandsons, Boyd and Levi Pearson. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, James Pearson, a sister, Rose Magajna, and two brothers, Fred and Albert.
