Arne Allan Strom went on to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, November 2nd, 2020, at the age of 88.

Arne Allan Strom was born on August 12, 1932, at their farm home east of Gary, MN, to Bernt and Olga (Norby) Strom. He went to grade school in Gary and then moved to Ada, MN, where he played football and graduated High School in 1950. In May of 1951 he enlisted in the Navy and served for four years. He married JoAnn Ogard on September 26th, 1953, in Hendrum, MN. Arne was stationed at Arlington, VA, at NSA, and they lived there until his Honorable Discharge in 1955. They then moved to Moorhead, MN, where they raised their three children. Arne was a traveling salesman for A.H. Bennett Company and MacArthur Co., then starting his own company, Strom Supply, in Moorhead, selling roofing and insulation in North Dakota, Minnesota and South Dakota.

Arne loved to worship and serve the Lord at Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church in South Moorhead where he was a Sunday school teacher, an elder and later a member of the fix-it-crew. He loved his family and did not want to miss any of their ball games, concerts or chess meets. He also enjoyed playing his clarinet at his church and nursing homes until the age of 74.

Arne is survived by his children, Terri Medhus McLean, Fargo, ND, Ginger (Tom) Reimers, Colstrip, MT, and Bradley (Crystal) Strom, Fargo; grandchildren, Jared (Laura) and Nathan (Keri) Medhus, Cara (Colin) Roemer, Tyler (Belinda) Reimers, and Mandi Jo (Graham) Murtaugh, Austen (Michaela) and Cody Strom; and step-grandson, Devan Thomas; great-grandchildren, Drew and Finley Roemer, Henry Medhus and Seth Hein, Taylen, Tegan and Tate Reimers, and Trip and Rafe Medhus; and eleven
nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, JoAnn, on July 15, 2020; his parents; a brother, Orville Strom and Orville's wife, Verna; a sister, Bernice Pederson and Bernice's husband, Ernie; and a nephew, Brent Strom.

A Celebration of Life for Arne and JoAnn will be on Friday, November 6, 2020, at 2:00 PM in Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church in Moorhead, with a Gathering of Friends and Family beginning at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Moorhead Memorial Gardens. Due to Co-vid restrictions we were unable to have a public service until now.

In accordance with CDC and local guidelines, social distancing and masks will be required for attendance. Arne and JoAnn's Celebration Service will also be live-streamed and the links can be found on his obituary page on the Korsmo Funeral Service website.
