Arnold, 81, Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, May 1, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND.
Arnold Otto Paschke, son of Otto and Mathilda (Berry) Paschke, was born Jan. 25, 1927, in Frazee, MN. He grew up in Richville, MN, and graduated from high school in Perham, MN, in 1944. He served in the US Navy during WW II, on an aircraft carrier in the Pacific.
On Oct. 2, 1948, Arnold was married to Bernadette Miller, at Dilworth, MN. They made their home in Moorhead. Arnold was a master plumber and master steamfitter, and worked on many large construction projects in our area, until he retired in February of 1990. He was a fan of the Minnesota Twins, and he enjoyed hunting.
Arnold is survived by his wife, Bernadette, Moorhead; seven children, Jennifer (Allen) Zummach, Dent, MN, Steven (Caron), St. Cloud, MN, Corinne (Wayne) Lien, Moorhead, Thomas (Debbi), Moorhead, David (Kathy), Riverside, CA, Renee (Mike) Bernier, Fargo, and Ronald, Moorhead; two sisters, Agnes Elaine (Joe) Wargacki, Lakewood, WA, and Donna (Ray) Scheidecker, Perham; 15 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Frances Halverson.
Visitation: Monday, 5 PM until 7 PM, with prayer service at 7 PM, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead.
Funeral Mass: Tuesday, May 6, 2008, 11 AM, St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead.
Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
