Arthur Balli

Arthur Balli beloved son of Maura and Calvin Balli entered this world on August 23, 1952, in Fort Hood Texas. His father was a military official and the family traveled all over the world during Arthur's youth, including Japan, Germany, and South America. Arthur had a great love particularly for Quito, Ecuador, where it is eternal spring. Arthur became a musician, world traveler and adventurer. He became a roadie for the Grateful Dead, Deep Purple and other well known groups, lived with many cultures around the world, experienced many lives.

Arthur met Kate Gardner in the seventies and it was love at first sight. They were blessed with two beautiful boys, Daniel and Evan-Ian. Arthur made Moorhead his home for the past twenty years. His son Daniel and wife Kate both passed in Moorhead and he said he could never leave. Arthur suffered from many health problems in his later years including a brain injury and a transplant. He never let that stop him from living a full life.

In 2005, He met Tina Penn. They were spiritually married in 2008 and were inseparable till his passing on November 16, 2011. Arthur lived life until the very end. He fought for life. His spirit will eternally live in the many people his life touched.

There will be a Gathering of friends on Tuesday, November 22, 2011, from 2-5 PM, at the Social Conextion, 1132 28th Ave S., Moorhead, MN, to honor and celebrate Arthur and his life. A Ceremony and potluck will be held, on Saturday November 26th, 2011, at 1 PM, at the Old School in Pine Point, MN, 48580 Pow Wow Highway near Ponsford, MN.
