Arthur Wayne Baron was born May 13, 1936, in McClusky, ND, to Ernest and Elizabeth (Ockert) Baron. Arthur was raised in McClusky where he received his education.
Arthur moved to Fargo, ND, and worked with his family in their plastering business. He entered the US Army in August of 1960 and served until August of 1962. Arthur married Bonnie Hanson on June 29, 1968, in Lancaster, MN, and they made their home in Fargo.
Arthur worked as a plasterer for Sig Olson & Sons Plastering, Fargo. He later worked for Federal Beef in West Fargo, ND. Bonnie died April 8, 2004, and Arthur continued to make his home in Fargo.
Arthur loved spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing. It was quite common for him to just get into his pickup and drive out in the country. He was pretty insistent that he get home on time to catch his favorite television programs, however. He was always in the company of his many dogs as well.
Arthur died on his seventy-seventh birthday, Monday, May 13, 2013, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Fargo.
He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer (partner, Sully) Baron, Indianapolis, IN, and Wanda Stoddard, Pine City, MN; and three sisters, Kathryn Gartner, and Violet Montgomery, both Bismarck, ND, and Gladys Willits, Fargo.
Visitation will be Friday, May 17, 2013, from 10 - 11 AM, followed by a funeral at 11 AM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Burial, with military honors, will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
