Barbara Ann Malme was born December 28, 1948, in Fargo, ND, the daughter of Kenny and Kay (Johnson) Malme. She attended schools in the Shelly, MN, area, and graduated from Halstad (MN) High school in 1966.
Barb attended Moorhead (MN) State College and Weber Data Processing, Fargo. She married Wayne Tronnes in June of 1970. They lived and raised their two sons, Matt and Tyler, in rural Shelly. Barb married Orris Moen on March 16, 2002.
Barb worked with her father in his businesses and managed the Shelly VFW Club. She was a caring and giving person and enjoyed planning events. Barb considered everyone her friend and everyone who met her considered her their friend.
Barb died Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at her home in Fargo, with her family and friends by her side, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. She was sixty-four years of age.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband, Wayne.
Barb is survived by her husband, Orris, Fargo; sons, Matt Tronnes, Lake Park, MN, and Tyler Tronnes (Tess Watzl), Hudson, WI; two grandchildren, Adam and Abby Tronnes, Hudson; brother, Barry (Kay) Malme, Fargo; "special sister", cousin and caregiver, Jan (Bill) Olson, Fargo; and several aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and cousins.
Memorials may be given to Hospice of the Red River Valley or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Keeping with Barbs wishes and giving spirit, she chose to donate her body to medical training at UND, Grand Forks, ND, so that others may live.
Memorial Service: Friday, April 12, 2013, at 2 PM, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
