Becky L Thorstenson

Becky Lynn Thorstenson, 61, Moorhead, MN, died Monday, November 11, 2019, in Sanford Medical Center-West Campus, Fargo, ND.

Becky was born February 7, 1958, in Thief River Falls, MN, to Lawrence and Joyce (Zimmerman) Thorstenson. She graduated from Moorhead High School with the class of 1976. In the fall of 1976, she enrolled at Moorhead Technical College and earned her credentials in bookkeeping. For many years she was employed with Elders Communications as their office manager and most recently Richtman's Printing.

Becky loved getting together with her family during the holidays. She enjoyed sharing her cooking and baked goods with everyone and always had a bowl of candy at her work desk to share with co-workers. On March 23, 1989, Becky's sister Linda passed away unexpectedly. Becky took on the responsibility of raising Linda's daughter Kimberly as her own. During her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, especially local thrift stores and garage sales. Becky loved her cats and watching hummingbirds in the summer.

Becky will be remembered and missed by her two sisters, Janet (Pat) O'Brien of Oceanside, CA, and Judy (Wally) Littlefield, of Fargo. In addition, she is survived by two grandsons, Jacob Paulus and Zachary Paulus, along with several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Linda Johnson; and one brother, Bruce Thorstenson.

Funeral Service for Becky will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at 11AM in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service.

Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
