Benny A. Poe II, 46, died Friday, June 3, 2005, in St. Mary's Hospital, Detroit Lakes, MN.
Benny Allen Poe II was born May 6, 1959, in Corvallis, OR, to Benny and Patricia (Pope) Poe. He grew up in Halsey, OR, and graduated from high school in Bremerton, WA. After high school, Benny worked as a waiter in Bremerton.
On July 31, 1987, Benny married Teresa Debuque in Ogden, UT, and they made their home in the Seattle, WA, area. Benny lived for a period of time in Colorado and eventually moved to Detroit Lakes in 2004 to be closer to his daughter. Benny was currently working as a bartender in the Detroit Lakes area. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Benny is survived by his daughter, Sierra, Hawley; his mother, Patricia Tanberg, Glenwood Springs, CO; his father, Benny (Ellen) Poe I, Albany, OR; a brother, Matthew Tanberg, Salem, OR; two sisters, Karla (Richard) Poe-White, Mountlake Terrace, WA, and Shawna (Jeff) Blevins, Glenwood Springs; and his grandmother, Charlene Poe, Albany.
A private family service will be held for Benny.
