Bertha M. Hogstad, age 92, Fargo, ND died on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo.
Bertha Marie Hogstad was born May 30, 1914 at rural Moorhead, MN. She was the daughter of Ole and Annie (Grimstvedt) Hogstad. She moved with her family to Fargo, where she grew up and received her education. She graduated from Oak Grove Lutheran High School in Fargo.
The family moved to the Gardner, ND, area, where they farmed. In 1978, Bertha returned to Fargo. In 1991, she became a resident of Elim.
Bertha never married. She is survived by a brother, Ottar (Irene) Hogstad of Modesto, CA, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by two brothers, Sigfred and Sven "Butch" Hogstad.
The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff of Elim Rehab and Care Center for their wonderful loving care of Bertha, during her many years there.
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral.
Funeral service: Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo.
Inurnment: Nora Lutheran Cemetery, rural Gardner, ND.
