Betty L. Hill

Betty Lois Perkins was born August 8, 1929, in Stillwater, MN, to Frederick and Nina (Quam) Perkins. Betty was raised in Hawley where she graduated from high school.

Betty worked as a telephone switchboard operator at St. Lukes Hospital, Fargo, ND, after graduation. She was united in marriage to Alan James "Jim" Hill, August 14, 1954, at Glyndon Lutheran Church, Glyndon, MN, where they made their home.

Betty worked as a Teacher's Aide in the Glyndon school system for many years. She later worked as a curator for the Clay County Historical Center, Moorhead, MN. Jim died March 15, 1987.

Betty entered Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, in November 2016, where she died Monday, July 17, 2017, at eighty-seven years of age.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Lori (Kevin) Sunde, Moorhead; sons, Alan (Robin) Hill, Harwood, ND, Blair (Jodi) Hill, Casa Grande, AZ, and Rick (Laura) Hill, Cameron, WI; eight grandchildren, Justin (Kelly) Sunde, Christopher Sunde, Nicholas (Nikki) Hill, Tracy (Nick) Hill, Hannah Hill, Samuel Hill, Caleb Hill, and Miriam Hill; five great-grandchildren, Amelia Hill, Madilyn Sunde, Otto Sunde, Dante Hill, and Sienna Sunde; and a sister, Donna Chloupek, Dilworth, MN.

In addition to her parents and husband, Jim, Betty was preceded in death by a grandson, Alexander Hill; brothers, Ronald "Micky", Loren "Roxie", Kenneth, Billy, and Jerry; and sisters, June, Daryl, Delores, Janice, and Lois.

Visitation for Betty will be Friday, July 21, 2017, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Her funeral will be Saturday, July 22, 2017, at 11 AM, in River Valley Church, Dilworth.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon.
