Betty M. Fugere

November 11, 1929 — October 8, 2018

Betty M. Fugere, age 88, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Monday, October 8, 2018, in Eventide Senior Living, Moorhead.

Betty M. Crane was born November 11, 1929, to Robert and Eleanor (Howard) Crane in Detroit Lakes, MN, where she spent her childhood. Betty moved to Fargo, ND, after graduating from high school, and started working for de Lendrecies in Fargo, where she continued working for 40 years. She married LeRoy J. "Frenchy" Fugere, on January 15, 1949, in Moorhead, where they had three children and made their home.

Betty was passionate about working for de Lendrecies and having the opportunity to work and help others. She was known by many as the pretty lady behind the cosmetic counter. She was always smiling and looking her best. She didn't go anywhere without her lipstick. She loved spending time with family and friends at her lake home on Upper Cormorant, MN, and in Scottsdale, AZ. She enjoyed reading, watching sports and having people stop by the house for a visit. Betty took pride in all of the relationships she had with others.

She is survived by her two daughters, Virginia Fugere Hennemann of Moorhead, and Suzanne Fugere Christenson of Fenwick, Ontario, Cananda; two brothers, Curt Crane and Dick Crane; two sisters, Diane Abfall and Pat Doele; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, LeRoy; son, Michael Fugere; siblings, Bob, Don, Bill, Bud, Charlotte, and June; special nephew, Steven Olson; and parents.

A special thank you to Eventide Senior Living and Hospice of the Red River Valley.

A private service for Betty will be held at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
