Beverly J. Kamphaugh, 75, of Fargo, ND, died on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, in Bethany on University, Fargo.
Beverly Jean Kamphaugh was born on August 24, 1946, in Northwood, ND, to Rufus and Estella (Sanders) Kamphaugh. Bev was raised on the family farm near Hatton, ND and went to high school in Hatton, graduating from Hatton Public High School. After high school Bev attended one year at UND in Grand Forks, then attended and graduated from California Lutheran Bible School. She then moved to Fargo, ND, where she attended St. Luke's School of Nursing in Fargo receiving her nursing degree. She later attended Moorhead State University, where she received a bachelor's degree.
After her schooling she spent a few years living around the country, including Dallas, Tx, and Wisconsin and eventually moved back to Fargo. She went to work as a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital and continued there working in different positions through the name changes to Meritcare and Sanford Hospital.
Bev had a love for traveling, often visiting family in southeastern Missouri, where her mother grew up. She took trips all over the world, including Australia, New Zealand, islands in the Caribbean, and Mexico to name a few of her favorites. Aside from travel, she enjoyed activities that she could do with her friends and family, such as cheering on the Bison during football games, being by a lake in the summer, or just spending time with them. For many years she worked the welcome desk at Salem Evangelical Free Church, and attended Community Bible Studies. Bev was a great aunt to her nephews and had a tremendous amount of love for them as well as her great-niece and nephews. Her family and friends meant a lot to her, and it showed.
Beverly is survived by her mother, Estella Kamphaugh; nephews, Joshua (Kristi) Kamphaugh, Jason (Tracy) Kamphaugh, and Peter Kamphaugh; great-niece and nephews, Hannah, Isaac, Ethan, Caleb, and Micah Kamphaugh; sister-in-law, Wanita (Ken) Sletten; as well as many cousins and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Rufus; and brother, Jeffrey.
