Blaine H. Wright

Blaine Henry Wright was born January 24, 1916, in Moorhead, MN, to Albert and Charlotte (Rader) Wright. Blaine was raised in Moorhead where he graduated from high school.
On August 30, 1940, Blaine was united in marriage to Doris York, in Elkhorn, NE, and they made their home in Moorhead until 1946, when they moved to Dilworth, MN.
Blaine worked for the Northern Pacific railway, and later Burlington Northern, as a locomotive engineer, for forty-one years. He retired in 1981. They returned to make their home in Moorhead in 1964. Blaine entered Golden Living Center, Moorhead, in 2006, where he died Sunday, April 27, 2008, at ninety-two years of age.
Blaine served on the Dilworth school board for many years, the Dilworth park board, and Dilworth Lutheran Church board. He held membership in the Elks Lodge and the El Zagal Shrine, both in Fargo, and the Moorhead Masonic Lodge. Blaine also served on the Eventide Lutheran Home board for many years.
Blaine is survived by his wife, Doris, of Moorhead; a son, Richard, of Moorhead; two granddaughters, Tricia Wright, of Dell Rapids, SD, and Nina Wright, of Fargo. Blaine was preceded in death by his parents, and three infant grandchildren, Debbie, Anthony, and Jody.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 30, 2008, from 4 - 6 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
The funeral will be Thursday, May 1, 2008, at 1:30 PM, in Dilworth Lutheran Church.
Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
