Bonnie Schulz, 65, of rural Glyndon, MN, died Thursday, May 8, 2014, in Sanford Palliative Care, Fargo, ND.
Bonnie Jean Schulz, the daughter of August and Dorothy (Hass) Schulz, was born January 30, 1949, in Alexandria, MN. At the age of 6, she moved with her family to Moorhead, MN, where she grew up and received her education. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1967 and Minnesota State University Moorhead in 1971. She moved to Glyndon, and later to a farmstead near Glyndon. She was a longtime member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Bonnie has had a great love of animals, especially dogs. At one time, she considered become a veterinarian, but after she worked for John Hall at Stonegate Kennels, she found her calling in caring for healthy animals as a groomer and breeder. Bonnie started her grooming business, Canine Clipper, which she continued to this day. As a breeder, she raised and showed championship Salukis and Afghans. She will be missed by her many faithful clients and friends.
Bonnie is survived by her mother, Dorothy Schulz, Moorhead; a brother, Robert (Dee) Schulz, Fox Point, WI; and a niece, Heidi (Tom) Calhoun-Lopes, and their two children, Tommy and Isabel.
She was preceded in death by her father, August, who died in 1978.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial Service will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 11 AM in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
