Bonnie L. Staiger, 60, Moorhead, MN, died Thursday, Feb. 23, 2006, in St. Mary's Hospital, Rocherster, MN, after a brief illness with pulmonary fibrosis.
Bonnie Louise Kielas was born June 24, 1945, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Emil and Leone (Alberts) Kielas. She received her education at Holy Angels Catholic School in Minneapolis.
On April 29, 1966, Bonnie was married to David Staiger in Sioux Falls, SD. They have lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area, since 1974. Bonnie was an active member of Calvary United Methodist Church in Fargo, ND, for many years. She served as the church's financial secretary, treasurer of Miriam Circle, BSF, and many other activities. Bonnie loved traveling and had seen many parts of the world. She was a great fan of Twins Baseball and especially enjoyed her family and helping others in any way possible.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, David, of Moorhead; three sons, Robert and Scott Staiger, both of Fargo, and Troy (Lupita) Staiger, of Tucson, AZ; her mother, Leone Kielas of Yucaipa, CA; two grandsons, Benjamin and Joseph (yet to be born); a sister, Frances (Gene) Curtis of St. Louis Park, MN; two brothers, Richard (Sharon) Kielas of Minneapolis, and Keith Kielas of Yucaipa, CA; and 16 nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her father, Emil, and a brother, Gerald.
