Bradley D. Johnson, 63, died unexpectedly in his home in Moorhead, MN, on Wednesday, March 17, 2010.
Bradley David Johnson, son of Oscar and Inez (Lavander) Johnson, was born in Minneapolis, MN, on February 12, 1947. He grew up and received his education in Moorhead, where he graduated from high school in 1965. After one year at Moorhead State College, Brad entered the US Naval Reserve, and served two years of active duty, as a hospital corpsman in Guam.
While in the Navy, Brad met a nurse, Kathy Newman, whom he married on August 11, 1972, in Tiffin, Ohio. Following their marriage, Kathy and Brad made their home in Moorhead. He finished his education at MSC in 1976. Brad worked at Dakota Clinic, Fargo, ND, for American Family Insurance, and for 28 years in the laboratory department of the Fargo VA Medical Center, until he retired in January of 2008.
Brad is survived by his wife, Kathy, Moorhead; two sons, Brian, Minneapolis, MN, and Kevin, Denver, CO; sister, Brenda (Jerry) Danzeisen, Hereford, AZ; and nieces, Mia (Jamie) Teberg, Pelican Rapids, MN, and Christy (Dana) Moberg, Barnesville, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation: Sunday, 5 PM to 7 PM,
with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN .
Funeral service: Monday, March 22, 2010, at 11 AM, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.
