Bruce D. Schwager

Bruce D. Schwager, 66, of Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, July 27, 2021, in his home.

Bruce Dean Schwager was born November 9, 1954, the son of Eli Leroy "Fritz" and Mary Jeanne (Greene) Schwager, in Moorhead. He was raised in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1973. Bruce then attended Moorhead Tech where he received his degree in Culinary Arts.

He then worked as a chef at the Grainery in Fargo, ND, and the Tree Top in Moorhead. Bruce later went to work for Kmart where he worked until retiring in 2016 after more than 30 years of service.

He enjoyed bowling, golfing, and was an avid sports fan and longtime fan of the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. Bruce also liked to read and listen to music.

He is survived by his sisters, Mary (Jeff) Gustavson, Eagan, MN, and Ann Schwager, Eden Prairie, MN; nephews, Michael Gustavson, Bloomington, MN and Matthew (Allison) Gustavson, Eagan; and great-nephew and niece, Leo and Carly Gustavson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorials may be directed to a charity of your choice in Bruce's memory.

Graveside Services for Bruce will be Friday, July 30, 2021, at 11:00 AM, in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral Service, Moorhead.
