Bruce G. Hendricks

Bruce G. Hendricks, 66, of Waller, TX, formerly of Moorhead, MN, passed away suddenly, Monday, May 22, 2023, in Kindred Hospital Houston (TX) Medical Center.

Bruce was born on October 5, 1956, to Gerald and Jane Hendricks in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Moorhead, MN and was a 1975 graduate of Moorhead High School. Bruce attended St. John’s University, Collegeville, MN earning a Business Degree in 1979 and was a member of the 1976 Division III National Championship SJU Football Team.

After graduating, Bruce began his career with Benjamin Moore, holding multiple positions in different cities. In 1995, Bruce took the opportunity to purchase Heritage Paint, a Benjamin Moore dealership in the Houston area. Heritage Paint quickly became a source of great pride, and his employees became his Houston family. He will be profoundly missed by his crew, and Bruce leaves them with these words, “do what you think is right.”

Bruce will be remembered for his generosity, loyalty, and sense of adventure. Bruce relished riding the open road on his motorcycle, flying his airplane, riding horses, grilling, and enjoying time with friends. Though Bruce left Minnesota as a young man, his roots in Minnesota run deep, friends, family, and lake country.

Bruce is survived by his six siblings, Laurie (Mark) Pitsenbarger, Bonnie (Gerry) Delaney, Leslie (Tim) Masterson, Kristi (Bob Miner) Hendricks, Kimberly Bacca, and Bradley (Beth) Hendricks; 14 nieces and nephews; and 4 step nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his mother, Jane and his father, Gerald.

A Visitation for Bruce will begin at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, June 13, 2023, followed by his Memorial Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.  Burial will take place in Graceville Consolidated Cemetery, Graceville, MN.
