Bruce L. Christie

Bruce L. Christie, age 49, Fargo, ND, died Monday, Dec. 11, 2006 at MeritCare Palliative Care in Fargo.
Bruce Lee Christie, the son of Ronald and Dorothy (Schafer) Christie, was born in Devils Lake, ND, on May 11, 1957. He grew up and received his education in Devils Lake. He graduated from Devils Lake High School in 1975, following which he attended UND in Grand Forks, ND, for two years. While at UND, he was a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity.
After living in California, Bruce returned to Devils Lake to work in the family business, Christie Fairway Foods.
On March 16, 1984, Bruce married Teresa Regan, in Devils Lake, where they made their home. In 1987, they moved to Fargo, where they have lived since. Bruce attended Moorhead (MN) Technical Institute and graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
Bruce truly enjoyed the outdoors and doing anything that involved being outdoors. He especially liked fishing, snowmobiling, camping and hiking. Special times with family and his many friends were important to him and he could always make people laugh.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Teresa, Fargo; son, Garret, of Bismarck, ND; daughter, Catlyn, Fargo; his parents, Ronald and Dorothy, Scottsdale, AZ; and a sister, Connie Breakey, Minneapolis, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral, at the church.
Funeral service: Friday, Dec. 15, 2006, at 11 AM, in Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Fargo.
