Bruce B. Williams, 58, of Ulen, MN, died Sunday, June 22, 2014, in his home near Ulen.
Bruce Bernard Williams, the son of Bernard "Barney" and Eunice (Enervold) Williams, was born November 7, 1955, in Fargo, ND. He grew up in Dilworth, MN, and graduated from Dilworth High School in 1974.
Bruce started his 38-year career in auto body repair by attending and graduating from Hanson's Auto Body in Fargo. His first job was at Overvold Motors in Fargo where he met and married Debra Maus. To this marriage, they were blessed with three children, Ryan, Brent and Jolie, but the apples of his eye were his grandchildren, Gavin, Brynn and Lily.
Bruce continued his career by starting his own auto body repair business, Elite Auto Body in Detroit Lakes, MN. After selling his business, he continued working for Northwest Auto Body in Fargo and lastly, Nereson Auto Body in Detroit Lakes, until his illness in January of 2013.
Bruce's love of horses led him to compete in team penning with his children and many other riders from the Fargo area. It was this love of horses that led him to meet the love of his life, Jerianne Albrecht in 2007. They enjoyed going on trail rides and horse camping trips. Jerianne and Bruce were united in marriage on June 22, 2014, after many "dates" to Menards.
He is survived by his wife, Jerianne; children, Ryan Williams and Brent (Jessica) Williams, both Wyndmere, ND, and Jolie (Mike) Fiedler, Casselton, ND; grandchildren, Gavin and Brynn Williams, and Lily Fiedler; mother and stepfather, Eunice (Williams) and Calvin Peterson, Dilworth; sister, Diane (Wade) Brown, Cogswell, ND; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard "Barney" Williams; and his paternal and maternal grandparents.
Visitation for Bruce is one hour prior to service in the church.
His funeral service will be Thursday, June 26, 2014, at 1:00 PM in Dilworth Lutheran Church, Dilworth, MN
He will be buried at St. Leonard's Catholic Cemetery, Pelican Rapids, MN.
