C. Rene Edenstrom

C. Rene Edenstrom was born December 31, 1917, in Minneapolis, MN, to Martin E. and Erlyce Mortenson. She married Kenneth Edenstrom in Moorhead, MN, on May 14, 1941.
Rene graduated from Moorhead State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She taught in the Moorhead school system and retired in 1980.
Rene passed away Sunday, Sept. 20, 2009, at MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND, at ninety-one years of age.
Rene is survived by her five daughters, Karen, Elizabeth, Kathryn, Pamela and Claudia; fourteen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and four sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and a brother, John of San Diego, CA.
Memorials are encouraged to Hospice of the Red River Valley, Fargo.
At Rene's request, a private family service was held.
