Cameron M. Vondal

Cameron M. Vondal, 63, of West Fargo, ND, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023, in Sanford on Broadway, Fargo, ND.

Cameron Mitchel Vondal was born June 10, 1960, the son of Alexander and Mary (Dauphanais) Vondal Jr., in Langdon, ND.  He was raised in Grand Forks, ND, and at the age of eleven moved with his family to Fargo.  When Cameron was fifteen, he started working as a carpenter for Judge George Duis in Fargo. 

He then moved to Arizona where he was united in marriage to June Marback on June 20, 1981, in Las Vegas, NV.  They made their home in Arizona where Cameron began his career in roofing working for Jim Carlson.  In 1991, they moved back to Fargo where he continued to work in roofing until ill health forced him to retire in 2005. 

Cameron had a knack for fixing and building things and would help anyone out who needed something fixed.

He is survived by his wife, June; children, Tina Vondal, Fargo, and Dillon Vondal, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Shayden, Tristan, Jayce and KyraLyn; sisters, Patricia “Cha” Vondal, and Rose Knutson, both of Fargo; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Deborah Broderson and Loretta Jean Carlson.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Monday, October 16, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead, MN.
