Carl Edward Elofson, the son of Dr. Carl and Stella Elofson, was born in Fargo, ND, on May 10, 1932. He grew up and received his education in Fargo, where he graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1950, and NDSU in 1955. He received his law degree from UND in Grand Forks, ND in 1956.
Carl first worked in Grand Forks for Western Adjustment, and later transferred with the company to Joilet, IL.
In 1960, he returned to Fargo, where he was a staff attorney for the Veteran's Administration, until he retired in 1986.
On November 26, 1964, Carl was married to Linda Amundson in Fargo, where they made their home. After his retirement from the VA, Carl practiced law in Fargo. He was a Boy Scout leader, active in his church, and a member of the Shiloh Masonic Lodge, York Rite, and Shrine.
Carl Edward Elofson died at his home in Fargo, on Thursday, September 13, 2007, at the age of 75. He is survived by his wife, Linda, Fargo; two sons, Eric and David, both Fargo; brother, Stanley (Nancy) Elofson, Lakewood, CO; and sister, Dorothy (Tom) Sherwood, Bellingham, WA.
