Carol B. Steen

Carol Barbara Johnson was born December 25, 1937, to Victor and Barbara (Ullman) Johnson in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where she was raised. Carol worked as a stewardess for an airline and traveled to many countries. She also worked in the banking industry in Winnipeg before she came to the United States.

She came to the Fargo Moorhead area to be with family. She stayed in the area and married Wayne Steen, raised her family and attained her US citizenship. Carol worked many years at Walmart in Dilworth, MN. She enjoyed gardening and had a passion for growing roses.

Carol died Monday, June 3, 2019, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead, at eighty-one years of age.

She is survived by her sons, Murray (Janet), and Barry (Brenda), both Dilworth, and a daughter, Barbara (Daren) Pracht, Kansas City, MO; seven grandchildren, Coleman, Carter, Bradyn, Bryce, Brock, Shelby, and Erin; and a sister-in-law, Bernice Johnson.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Allan.

Visitation will be from 5 - 7 PM, with a Life Celebration service at 7 PM, Monday, June 10, 2019, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Burial will take place in Riverside Cemetery, Glyndon, MN.
