Carol J. Buth, 60, Moorhead, MN, died Wednesday, October 3, 2007, in the Golden Living Center, Moorhead.
Carol Jean Priebe was born August 13, 1947, in Breckenridge, MN, to Warren and Matilda (Drewlow) Priebe. She grew up on a farmstead outside of Wolverton, MN, and attended country school until the 8th grade. She graduated from high school in Breckenridge and went on to attend school in Fergus Falls, MN, where she graduated with her LPN.
On December 19, 1966, Carol married Merle Buth in Mitchell Township, MN, where they made their home. She worked as an LPN at St. Francis Hospital, Breckenridge, until she moved to Moorhead in 1979. She then returned to school, graduating as an RN. Carol worked at Dakota Hospital until 2000 when she began working at Innovis, Fargo, ND. She also worked as the Parish Nurse for Immanuel Lutheran Church, Fargo. In May of 2006, Carol retired from nursing due to illness.
She is lovingly survived by her three children, Mark (Jill) Buth, West Fargo, ND, Susan (Mat) Paulson, Moorhead, and Dawn (Todd) Rud, Owatonna, MN; her father, Warren Priebe, Moorhead; six grandchildren, Chelsey, Brandyn, Ashlyn, Tanner, Kinzie, and Keezia; and three siblings, Corrine (Ordean) Haugen, Mandan, ND, Dean (Debi) Priebe, Steele, ND, and Renee (Scott) Hootman, Eldora, IA. She was preceded in death by her mother, Matilda, and her mother-in-law, Ruby Priebe.
Visitation: Friday from 5 - 8 PM with a Prayer Service at 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral: Saturday, (10/6/07) at 11 AM in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Fargo.
Burial: Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Mitchell Township.
