Carol Pollock

Carol Janet Pollock passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at the Golden Living Center in Moorhead, MN, at the age of 73 years and ten months.

Carol was born the daughter of Burton and Florence (Aspengren) Sather, August 14, 1942, in the Village of Ulen, MN. She attended school in Ulen through the fifth grade and then started working in her parents' café. Carol would go back to school and get her GED forty years later. In 1961, she was blessed with the birth of a son, Larry Sather. In 1962, she would marry Cecil Pollock and to this union two sons and two daughters would be born.

Carol would hold jobs in the food service industry in Hawley, MN, Glyndon, MN, and Moorhead. In the 1980s she was forced to retire due to physical limitations and made her home in Moorhead until her move into Golden Living Center in 2011. She enjoyed chatting with the staff and visitors, usually about Ulen. Her passions included Bingo, stuffed animals, birds and butterflies.

Carol is survived by a sister, Bernice Berg of West Fargo, ND; and children, Lorey (Vincent) Tucker of Auburn, WA, Ben (LeAnne) Pollock of Backus, MN, Mark (Darla) Pollock of Twin Valley MN, Sarah (Jeff) Lee of Fosston, MN; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; stepfather, Severt Benthagen; her brothers, Lyle, Norman, Orville, and Dennis; her son, Larry Sather; and grandson, Holly Bergstrom.

Her Graveside Service will be Thursday, June 23, 2016, at 10 AM, in East Salem Cemetery, Hitterdal, MN.
