Carrold E. Sundstrom, 94, Moorhead, MN, formerly of Wolverton, MN, died Wednesday, December 22, 2010, in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
Carrold Edmund Sundstrom was born November 17, 1916, in rural Wolverton to Emmanuel and Hannah (Nelson) Sundstrom. He attended rural school and worked on the farm, helping to support the family.
On December 28, 1946, Carrold married Hazel Haglund in Garfield, MN. Following their marriage, they farmed near Wolverton for many years until moving into town in 1984.
Carrold was very active in the Wolverton community, serving on the school board and on the church board as chairman for over twenty years. He was also a Gideon.
On September 6, 1990, Hazel died and Carrold continued to live in Wolverton until moving into Eventide Assisted Living, Moorhead, in 2006.
He is survived by three daughters, Kathryn (Mario) Garcia, Minneapolis, MN, Joanne (Larry) Forsberg, Stillwater, MN, and Elaine (Chris) McDaniels, Wolverton; a son, Mark (Tina) Sundstrom, Wolverton; two sisters, Delores Roos, Victorville, CA, and Amy (Har
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Alton, Eugene and John; and two sisters, Margaret Lindgren and Avis Goodwin.
Visitation: Monday from 6 - 8 PM, Korsmo Funeral Service, Moorhead.
Funeral: Tuesday, December 28, 2010, at 11 AM, Eagle Valley Evangelical Free Church, Christine, ND.
Burial: Salem Cemetery, Wolverton.
