Cathy Holowell, 50, of Fargo, ND, passed away peacefully from A.R.D.S., surrounded by family and friends, at Sanford Health, Fargo, on Tuesday morning, June 25, 2013.
Cathy was born in Moorhead, MN, on Feb. 15, 1963, to Gerald and Sandra (Myer) Mullins. She lived in the Fargo-Moorhead area and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School before moving to Alaska in 1983.
Cathy met and married Clint Holowell in Alaska in November 1983 and lived there until 1992 before moving to and living in the FM area until her death.
Clint and Cathy are blessed with two wonderful children whom Cathy adored and was extremely proud of. She was a wonderful wife and mother, a role model extraordinaire whom her kids felt blessed to call their mom. Cathy's husband and children were her life and greatest joy. Cathy loved spending time with family and friends and being the life of the party. She enjoyed being around people and everyone who met her loved her.
Cathy, ever dependable with a great work ethic, loved her job and was a perfectionist. She worked for Middaugh & Assoc. before leaving for Alaska and went back to work there when she returned to the FM area. She was quickly approaching her 20th anniversary and looking forward to many more years with the Middaughs.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Clint; son, Casey, and daughter-in-law, Alicia (Raymond); daughter, Catlyn; brother, Bob Mullins, and sister-in-law, Sue. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Sandra Mullins; her grandparents, Herbert
A celebration of Cathy's life will be held at the Bowler on Friday night from 6-9 PM.
Visitation is from 12 PM to 2 PM on Saturday, June 29, 2013, with the funeral service immediately following at Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
In lieu of flowers memorial gifts can be made to American Cancer Society or Roger Maris Cancer Center.
